Introducing: Jessica Jordan Ping

Hi, I’m Jessica Jordan Ping, a Chicago-based disability advocate and creative. I was born with CHILD syndrome, a rare genetic condition with about 60 known cases worldwide. I started The Rolling Explorer to share my lived experience, spill the #AccessibiliTEA, and push for real disability representation in fashion, entertainment, culture, and policy.

I work across storytelling and strategy as a writer, speaker, content creator, podcaster, musician, model, presenter, and consultant (represented by Sixteenth. I’ve partnered with brands including Google, Meta, Marshalls, Moderna, Logitech, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Transport for London, Liberare, NatWest, and the NHS.

Fashion has my heart. I attended London Fashion Week for three seasons as a model and guest, sat front row for Pam Hogg, Buerlangma, and Helen Anthony, and walked for Sarah Regensburger. I closed Unhidden’s 2023 runway in a red adaptive gown and spoke about it on Channel 4, NowThis, and earned a nod from the BBC for most striking looks of the season. In 2025, I began consulting on an adaptive fashion course at Columbia College Chicago with Professor Reyes Witt.

My work has been featured in British Vogue, Billboard, USA Today, ITV News, BuzzFeed, MSN, and more. I also host Access Denied, my podcast about rejection, resilience, and doing the thing anyway.

Music is part of my storytelling, too. I write and perform original alt-pop songs and share new releases across my channels. If you want to follow along, you can find my latest tracks on my Music page.

I’ve worked with lawmakers and non-profits to advocate for disability and women’s rights. In 2024, I covered the Democratic National Convention as one of the first credentialed content creators and was invited by former President Joe Biden to attend a celebration at the White House to celebrate the 34th anniversary of the ADA.

I’ve built such a wonderful community across all major social platforms. You can join in on the chaos over on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

When I am not working, you’ll find me traveling with people I love, trying new restaurants in Chicago, binge-watching TV, reading my book of the month, and doing the daily crossword with a hot cup of tea.
