It’s been all over the news for months. What hasn’t broken headlines, though, is the fact that 60% of Covid-19 deaths in the United States were people with disabilities (Disability Insight).

The disability community has never felt so marginalized. People’s attitudes surrounding the coronavirus have not only made us feel forgotten about but also worthless and attacked every single day for the last 9 months. Many people have begun to find their voices this year, myself included, and have been advocating for change. It’s been overwhelming to see how many people are interested in learning more about the disabled lived condition.
